This month sees the long awaited history show from Mace & Kenny Ken, as they
step back in time to where it all began, the unforgetable summer of 1989.
Taking a trip back to the warehouses and fields with all the classic underground
tracks that shaped the early rave and acid house scene, and where many of todays
established DJs and producers started their careers.
No speech this month, just an hour and forty minutes of classic dance music history…
Next month its back to Drum & Bass with an hour of the most upfront dubs from the circuit.

Sunrise & Back to the Future August 1989 - Longwick Bucks.
What a party that was! These tunes some of which I haven’t heard for quite a while
made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
If only I could teleport myself back there to experience the best outdoor rave ever!!
Oh what memories of that summer.
You really need to put more mixes with classic tunes from 89/90 on here.
The memory of the Smart boys 101.2fm and radical crew will never die.
I wonder what AJ and double o are up to these days?

Daz (and Stef).. I’ve loads of Smart Boys Radical Crew 101.2, Green Apple, Fantasy and Jocks Cafe tapes.. I’ve always wanted to encode some of them when I can find a working tape deck with DBX noise reduction (lol, I’m a perfectionist). Will keep you posted.

At last people who are as into the Smart Boys as much as I am. Too right Al, my girlfriend is amazed I can remember smart boys word for word but not what she wants from the shop! Still got a few tapes slamski, AJ, 00, bod and Mix Junkie.
