inspired by the implosion of america’s economy and the mounting tensions in the face of what is arguably the most important election in the nation’s history, i decided to string some songs together that (hopefully) speak towards the hope, passion, paranoia, disgust, and hopelessness some stateside citizens are facing.  this mix contains strong language in places, some of it uttered by children (see the yo la tengo cut).  just figured i’d warn those who needed the warning…
