About

Phuture Frequency was started up in 2001 by G. Andrews and was originally named Mix Station UK. In 2002 the name was changed to Phuture Frequency and quickly it became a popular and well known 24/7 Drum ‘n’ Bass Internet radio station. It offered daily live shows from some of the most talented Drum n Bass DJs across the globe and still holds the title of being one of the UK’s longest running Internet radio stations.

Phuture Frequency has seen many established DJs and Record labels play on its airwaves, including D.Kay, Muffler, Pendulum, V Recordings, WiLSH, Mace, Temper D, Insight, Heist, Cause 4 Concern, Counterstrike, 0=0, DJ Spice, Guvna, Typecell, Alley cat, Chris Inperspective and many, many more. However, the main goal is to promote new talent in the scene. It has seen many DJs get booked to play in big venues both in the UK and even overseas.

In 2006, Phuture Frequency ceased it’s live shows due to financial difficulties and turned over a new leaf to start its premier iTunes Podcast service. Since it’s launch in June/July 2006, its popularity exploded and it’s sustained regular rankings as one of iTunes top podcasts.

All the shows remain completely free of charge. The site has always remained a non-profit business, we just do it for the music!
